As I wrote in part 1, the Master Lock lockbox is quite heavy with more than a kilogram. Too heavy for carrying it when I’m traveling or even for cases where I’m not at home when locking or unlocking. So we have come up with another method for these cases.
Enter: The lockbox. It’s a small, 3D-printed box with a lid that slides in. It is just large enough to contain the two keys for the collar and the chastity cage. We basically do the same procedure as with the Master lock box, just that I have to apply a stick-on seal to the lid. So my lovely keyholder gets a video of locking the cage, putting the keys in the box, and applying the seal. It’s quite fiddly to hold the phone in one hand and apply the seal with the other, but I usually manage.
The seals we use are uniquely numbered and can not (easily) be removed without leaving traces. These are pretty similar to the ones you see all over your electronics. Without endorsing them, we use these ones.
Whenever I need to unlock (and of course am allowed to), I take a picture of the still sealed box with the uniquely numbered seal and my smartwatch in the picture. Then I send this picture to the keyholder to prove that it’s a current photo. He then can verify that the box was still sealed at the time.
Once that is done, I can break the seal and unlock.
As you can see in the picture on the left, the seal shows “void” when peeled off the box.
And now for a key component in all that: The little lock box.
It’s a quick custom design I made to fit both of the keys. You can find it over on printables.com or thingiverse.com. Initially, we used a way larger box, but it turned out very clunky. So I designed one that’s sufficiently large for our needs, but small enough to keep it in the pocket.
And a final word on printing it. I generally prefer PETG over PLA for many things. However the seal does not stick very well to PETG, so I really recommend printing with PLA or some other material where the seal sticks.
